(六種住, 六种住)

The six Bodhisattva-stages in the <Bodhisattva-bhumi sutra> [lang id =1028]菩薩地持經 are:

(1) [lang id =1028]種性住 the attainment of the Buddha-seed nature in the [lang id =1028]十住;

(2) [lang id =1028]解行住 of discernment and practice in the [lang id =1028]十行 and [lang id =1028]十廻向;

(3) [lang id =1028]淨心住 of purity by attaining reality in the [lang id =1028]初地見道;

(4) [lang id =1028]行道迹住 of progress in riddance of incorrect thinking, in the [lang id =1028]二地 to the [lang id =1028]七地;

(5) [lang id =1028]決定住 of powers of correct decision and judgment in the eighth and ninth [lang id =1028]地;

(6) [lang id =1028]究竟住 of the perfect Bodhisattva stage in the tenth [lang id =1028]地 and the [lang id =1028]等覺位, but not including the [lang id =1028]妙覺位 which is the Buddha-stage.

﹝出菩薩地持經﹞ 六種住者， 約別教位次而論也。 以此六人所證之位， 皆不退失， 故名為住。 〔一、 種性住〕， 種即能生之義， 性即自分不改之義。 謂別教菩薩， 於十住、 十行位中， 道種成就， 無有退失， 數數增進， 故名種性住。 （十住者， 發心住、 治地住、 修行住、 生貴住、 方便具足住、 正心住、 不退住、 童真住、 法王子住、 灌頂住也。 十行者， 歡喜行、 饒益行、 無瞋恨行、 無盡行、 離癡亂行、 善現行、 無著行、 尊重行、 善法行、 真實行也。 ） 〔二、 解行住〕， 解即解了， 行即修行。 謂別教菩薩於十回向位中， 修習中觀， 為入初地之方便， 故名解行住。 （十回向者， 救一切眾生離眾生相回向、 不壞回向、 等一切佛回向、 至一切處回向、 無盡功德藏回向、 隨順平等善根回向、 隨順等觀一切眾生回向、 真如相回向、 無縛解脫回向、 法界無量回向也。 ） 〔三、 淨心住〕， 謂別教菩薩， 於初地斷根本見惑， 得出世間心， 離凡夫我相障， 故名淨心住。 （初地， 即歡喜地也。 根本見惑者， 即三界外見惑， 以界內諸惑由之而生也。 凡夫我相者， 謂凡夫之人， 於五陰身執為我也。 ） 〔四、 行道跡住〕， 跡猶足跡。 謂別教菩薩， 從二地至七地， 修習中觀， 皆斷根本思惑， 而有證入之跡， 故名行道跡住。 （二地至七地者， 離垢地、 發光地、 燄慧地、 難勝地、 現前地、 遠行地也。 ） 〔五、 決定住〕， 謂別教菩薩， 從八地、 九地， 已得真實之行， 不還不退， 故名決定住。 （八地九地者， 不動地、 善慧地也。 ） 〔六、 究竟住〕， 謂此非圓教妙覺果佛之究竟， 乃是別教第十地菩薩， 學行滿足， 究竟不退， 故名究竟住。 （第十地者， 法雲地也。 ）
